About the Opportunity

 

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced construction supervision professionals interested in joining the Women and Babies Hospital project team.

As delivery of this landmark project continues to progress, opportunities are anticipated across a number of construction work fronts, and we are looking to connect with individuals who bring strong leadership capability, a commitment to safety and proven experience delivering construction activities on major projects.

We are particularly interested in professionals who have successfully supervised subcontractors and managed construction activities within Tier 1 contractor or major project environments.

 

 

You may currently be working as a:

 

  • Site Supervisor
  • General Foreman
  • Foreman
  • Senior Foreman
  • Construction Supervisor
  • Works Supervisor

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Supervise site construction activities across allocated work fronts and subcontract packages
  • Ensure all works are adequately planned and prepared before commencing on site
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site activities to achieve program, quality and productivity objectives
  • Lead daily pre-start meetings and promote compliance with project safety requirements
  • Support and promote a positive safety culture through visible leadership and proactive engagement
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, scope and quality requirements
  • Conduct site inspections and safety observations, driving the close-out of identified issues
  • Coordinate site logistics including material deliveries, plant, equipment and access requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Project Engineers and project teams to develop and maintain construction programs
  • Maintain accurate project records, site documentation and reporting systems

What You Will Bring

 

  • Trade qualification, building qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience supervising construction works on major building or infrastructure projects
  • Previous experience working within the Australian construction industry, with a strong understanding of local construction practices, safety requirements and subcontractor management
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, subcontractor management and site coordination
  • Proven ability to deliver works safely on schedule and to quality standards
  • Experience managing multiple work fronts and coordinating large subcontractor workforces
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in Tier 1 contractor environments highly regarded
  • Hospital, healthcare or large-scale building project experience will be highly regarded
